Beyond the frame.
A Framebreak preserves the work’s identity while giving its visual world room to continue across contemporary screens.
The idea
Extraordinary work should not disappear when you leave the room.

Why framebreak.art exists
Great art is too often limited by the walls that hold it—or by the luck of having stood before it.
framebreak.art gives the work a wider life, lets it reach new people, and makes every encounter a path back to the original and its artist.
01The original

A Framebreak preserves the work’s identity while giving its visual world room to continue across contemporary screens.
The work is not replaced, redrawn into something else, or cut loose from its creator. Fidelity is the point.
Each work has a permanent place built for discovery and sharing, with a clear path back to the original and the artist who made it.
The reason
It does not replace the original. It expands where the original can be experienced—and can help it find a home with someone who truly values it.

FrameBreaks explores how art can travel beyond its original frame. Useful Chaos Lab operates this exhibition; the named artists remain the creators of the original works.
Our process starts with a source photograph or reference. A Core recovers the visible artwork from its frame and surroundings. Where missing source detail requires reconstruction, it is not an untouched original. The wide versions are creative extensions guided by the source, not additional paintings by the artist or proof of artist endorsement.
Artist, title and source information follow the evidence available for each piece. If you spot an attribution, provenance or presentation error, send us the page URL and the supporting reference so we can review it.
