Privacy, in plain language.

Useful Chaos Lab operates framebreak.art. This public exhibition does not require an account or ask for employer credentials. It has no public upload form, payment flow or advertising trackers in the current release.

Preferences on your device

A first-party cookie, framebreak-hero, remembers the last hero artwork to avoid showing it twice in a row. It expires after one year and contains an artwork ID, not a user ID.

Browser local storage remembers your sound choice, volume and dismissal of the music hint. Session storage remembers playback position during the current browser session. You can clear these preferences in your browser’s site-data settings; the exhibition will then return to its defaults.

Requests and hosting

Cloudflare hosts and delivers the exhibition. Loading a page or asset sends ordinary request information, including your IP address, browser details, requested URL and any applicable first-party cookie, to the hosting service. Browser preferences are not used by this application to create a personal profile.

Provider processing is separate from browser storage. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its practices; this page does not promise that infrastructure providers retain no request information.

Email and outside destinations

If you contact riff@scazafavo.com, we receive your address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to handle your request through our Microsoft 365 mailbox. Please do not send passwords, employer-confidential material or unnecessary personal information.

Artist, gallery, UCL, social-share and private-workspace links lead to separate services with their own policies. Sharing is your choice; the current exhibition does not load social-network trackers simply to display its share buttons. The private review and production tools are separate from this public site.

Questions or corrections

Contact us with the relevant page URL if you have a privacy question or want a correction reviewed. We will update this explanation when the exhibition’s data practices change.
